Marketing in an Uncertainly Certain World

There’s a lot of uncertainty in the world right now, especially with current events.

As of right now, we still don’t know who will be President and some are saying we might not know for at least a week!


Marketing and Uncertainty are certainly not friends.

Uncertainty can be bad for business as Marketing is usually the first to suffer when items are on the chopping block.

How can we as marketers do more to add some stability and certain-ness back into our workspaces?

(We’d like to add certainty back into the whole world, but our magic wand broke in January. Bummer.)


We do have data though.

Data is our greatest tool in a time like this as it allows us to find how and where we can optimize our messaging.

This also allows us the ability to provide proof to clients.

When clients are unsure, and maybe getting cold feet about making big decisions,

Data can help us back up our claims, provide them with evidence, and maybe help move them towards a decision.




It won’t do it for us, but it certainly will help us move along.
