rBST

You may see this disclaimer on milk cartons: “This milk has not been treated with rBST. rBST has not been shown to have any impact on humans”

Or something along those lines.

It’s labeled as not containing something.

That something is touted as being safe for humans.

You may wonder, if it’s not harmful to humans, why isn’t it included in the milk?

Or if it’s not harmful to humans, why make a big deal about mentioning that it isn’t included in milk?

What’s the cost?

Because it’s been shown to increase the risk of harm to cows.

Unless you look a bit deeper, you may not give it a second thought.

What’s hidden from immediate view?

OFTEN, THE DATA THAT’S MISSING IS JUST AS IMPORTANT AS THE INFORMATION THAT’S PRESENTED.
