Practice is preparation for the real thing.
It lets us test things out in a low stakes environment.
It’s part of the process for improving.
Do something. Learn from it. Do it again.
It’s bigger than just repetitions though. It takes deliberate practice.
The difference is between doing it frequently and doing it frequently, correctly.
It involves getting feedback from people you trust.
Letting your team test out the new product you’ve worked on before it’s fully ready.
Practice gives us the courage to move forward when there are no takesies backsies.
To show up and say I want to improve.
To acknowledge that we’re not satisfied with the status quo.
We practice and improve because we care about getting better.
