We tend to remember endings the most.
Peak/End theory says that when we have an experience, we’ll tend to remember the best part of it, and also the end.
And the best part may not be very good at all.
We’ll evaluate a movie by the intense action sequence in the middle of the movie, but then also the dud of an ending that was supposed to be a twist.
Peak/End is why we celebrate the end of the year.
A time for reflection.
A time to evaluate.
TO PUT AN END TO SOMETHING AND ALLOW SOMETHING NEW TO TAKE ITS PLACE.
Because most endings lead to new things, but it’s important to hold them for what they were.
Cheers to a new one.
