Missing: Inspiration

I’ll be honest.

Today, I am not feeling very inspired.

I received some tough news and it has really turned down my creativity.

Sometimes these things happen to us and they can spring up in the most inopportune time.

This isn’t the first time I have had to push through a setback and it won’t be the last.

Here are some helpful tips that I look to when I’m feeling less than my usual creative self:

CLEAR YOUR HEAD

Take a second to breathe and clear your thoughts. It can be easy to get stuck clinging to an idea to try to make it work. Detach yourself from this idea and let your mind wander for a bit.

GO FOR A WALK

Going for a walk can also help to clear your head and help your mind wander too. Exercising is a great way to relieve stress as well.

BORROW A BRAIN

Sometimes you need to grab a friend and borrow their brain. Bounce some ideas off of each other or just talk about what is on your mind today. Talking with a friend can help you feel better and get on your way to creating again.

READ THE NEWS, POSITIVE BLOGS, OR HELPFUL ARTICLES

When you get stuck, another way to clear your head and get a fresh perspective is to read. Reading the news, positive blogs, or helpful articles can give you inspirations to start creating something of your own.

Sometimes there are days when you just can’t find that spark and that’s okay. It isn’t the end of the world, or at least I hope it’s not.

FIND YOUR INSPIRATION AND BRING A LITTLE CREATIVITY BACK INTO THE WORLD.
