It’s clear no one had pandemic on their 2020 new year resolutions.
Now that we are navigating a post-COVID world, (Meaning life after COVID has arrived, the pandemic is still going on for many people.)
We are having to find our way through difficult situations.
One area we know very well and have had experience in is Marketing.
Deciding how to go about marketing while being cautious of COVID is a decision we think about every day.
Some marketers are producing content embracing masks and social distancing,
Others are choosing to portray life pre-COVID.
Some advertisers are opting to include disclaimers stating that their content was filmed pre-COVID when using content sans personal protection equipment (PPE).
Reception is mixed.
Some are outraged when marketing materials contain PPE and some are outraged when they don’t.
SHOULD WE BE CREATING CONTENT WITH LIFE AS IT WAS, OR SHOULD WE PORTRAY LIFE AS IT IS NOW?
We’ll admit we don’t have all the answers, but we do know we want to keep everyone safe.
