“Loose” because launching implies significant force, and sometimes in our work, it feels more like a sputter.
We want to make a splash.
We want rockets behind us driving us forward and upward.
But for most of us, it’s not true, and it shapes our expectations in an unfair way.
We like to celebrate launch day because it’s a spectacle, but the reason we get to where we are is because of consistently and frequently doing the work.
Success in small batches.
It might not always be perfect, but it is effective.
“Loose” because we need to hold our work loosely. Once it’s out there, it’s no longer yours. It belongs to your fans.
They will take it and use it for all it’s worth.
And in return? They’ll tell others.
