When people are looking for a service, you can assume they want good quality, timely work,
(and you should definitely provide them with this.)
What they really want is Responsiveness.
A responsive company can quickly react to problems and pivot when needed to continue delivering exceptional work.
If you are delivering good quality work, and something happens that prevents you from being timely, then you also need to be communicative.
Customers highly value a company that acknowledges them and communicates with them.
This gives customers peace of mind, that you are aware of their needs and you are responding to them.
IF YOU WANT TO BE MORE RESPONSIVE:
Make it a goal to respond to people in a timely manner.
A great example would be to respond to every email you have received in a day by the end of the same day.
Even if it’s just a simple, “I’ll have to get back to you.”
Let them know that you are acknowledging them and ultimately, that you care.
