If you’re not sleeping too well at night, you might consider drinking less coffee.

For most of your life, you didn’t drink coffee.

Then you drank one cup occasionally.

Then one cup daily.

 

Then more. What’s one additional cup?

Eventually, you were up to almost a full pot per day.

It was a gradual change, so it would make sense that a switch from that behavior would be gradual as well.

It might feel worse before it feels better.

You may experience a crash.

 

One way to make behavior change easier? You can make a substitution.

Maybe you just enjoyed a warm drink in the mornings, and tea may fit that bill. Or maybe some MUD\WTR.

Some questions to ask yourself:

  • What can I do instead?
  • Why do I do it in the first place?
  • Do I consider this to be part of my identity?
  • What are the trade-offs?
  • What are the costs?
